Description
Care Coordinator/Surgery SchedulerThe Care Coordinator (CC) works closely with the physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice registered nurses and registered nurses in providing care to the patients. The CC is responsible for scheduling surgery and diagnostic testing such as imaging, making referrals to other physicians, scheduling patient appointments and fielding phone calls from patients. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and an ability to organize and work in a fast paced environment is a must. The candidate will also be documenting in an electronic medical record. One to two years' experience in the healthcare field is preferred but not required. Bilingual in Spanish and English is also preferred. High school graduates or GED required.
