Cost Apprentice is still working on their undergraduate degree and working with us either as an intern or on a part-time basis. The Cost Apprentice assists the cost & commercial management team to complete deliverables successfully by organizing, reviewing, and preparing documents as assigned under the direct supervision of a Senior Cost Manager or above. The cost apprentice will get exposure to our service lines and understanding of the role of cost & commercial management in the successful delivery of projects while learning the skills required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of project deliverables in provision of Cost & Commercial management services,
- Maintain Cost & Commercial Management files in an organized manner, according to company standards and process.
- Assist as needed with preparing documents for proposals, presentations, and Cost & Commercial Management submissions under the direct supervision of the Cost & Commercial Management team.
- Submit requests for pricing from vendors and sub-contractors for specific scopes, products, and services.
- Carry out pricing research.
- Develop understanding of methods of measurement, delivery methods, construction technology and contracts.
- Enroll in professional organization and commence training for accreditation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: Currently enrolled in a degree in Construction, CM, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field
Experience: No prior experience required
Preferred Certification: Registration with Professional organizations (AACE, RICS, ASPE, or equivalent)

The salary range for this full-time role is $30.38-$38.49 per hour. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.About_Us:
