The Village of Riverside (pop. 9,200) is just 9 miles from downtown Chicago and is a National Historic Landmark Community designed by visionary landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. The Village is seeking applicants for a part-time Management Intern for the Public Works Department. The Management Intern reports directly to the Public Works Director or their designee. The Management Intern will perform surveys and programs evaluations as needed, assist in various department operations analysis to determine optimal service/procedure, perform special projects assigned by the Public Works Director or designee. Duties also include assistance in grant applications, budget preparation and cost analysis, creation of Requests for Proposals and Bid documents, assistance with the Landscape Advisory Commission materials, and creation of reports of various complexity. This position will also assist with the water meter replacement program and may perform receptionist duties and other office support duties. This position is temporary in nature and does not constitute promise of a permanent position.

Requirements
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred;
Previous municipal experience preferred.
