The Medical Administrative Assistant provides aid to Case Managers. Specific tasks are performed at the request of individual case managers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transcription services.
- Perform tasks as instructed by case manager. Examples include verification of appointments, process and distribute reports, complete demographic information on regulatory forms, process and distribute reports, request medical records and fax materials.
- Notification phone calls as directed by case manager (i.e. reminder phone calls to consumer for medical appointments).
- Enter referrals in ALARISWARE.
- Release of Information form management directed by individual case managers.
- Additional tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for complying with Paradigm IT security requirement and policies.
- Responsible for safeguarding Paradigm or Paradigm related IT passwords.
- Responsible for notifying Paradigm of any IT security incidents per policy 16.0 Information Security Incident Management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, Post -secondary education preferred.
- Any equivalent industry experience determined to be acceptable.
- Responds to urgency of tasks and able to prioritize workload.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to enter data for extended periods of time.
- Operate office machinery including but not limited to: computers, faxes, printers, phones.
- Clear, concise and professional verbal and written communication.
- Proven interpersonal skills.
- Able to work from home with little supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
