Location: 1167 Wantagh Avenue Wantagh, NY 11793
Schedule: Part-time, 22 hours per week. Sunday 6:50am - 3:00pm and Monday, 6:50am - 10:00pm
Specialty: Pediatric Urgent Care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available
- Greets patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork
- Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner
- Assists and accompanies patients to exam rooms
- Interviews patients and records information into the medical record
- Measures, collects, and records patient vital signs
- Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests
- Displays proficient phlebotomy practices
- Prepares specimens for transportation to the lab
- Assists in examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction
- Places follow-up phone calls to patients
- Performs other duties as required

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ months of experience working as a Medical Assistant performing front and clinical back-office duties
- 6+ months of phlebotomy experience and/or an active phlebotomy certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Medical Assisting
- 1+ years pediatric or urgent care experience
- Experience with Epic EMR
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
