Overview
Insights is the division of IQT that produces over-the-horizon and geopolitical analysis about dual-use technology. As a Research Assistant Intern, you will have the opportunity to engage with a broad range of topics related to emerging technology, venture capital, startups, and geopolitical trends in a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment. In this role, you will be focused on supporting the team's research, writing, and knowledge management processes, as well as strategic projects. Candidates should be passionate about understanding the role of emerging technology in national security and have excellent communications skills.

Responsibilities
- Identify, collect, synthesize, and organize relevant quantitative and qualitative information to support Insights products
- Draft and contribute to Insights products in collaboration with Research Managers
- Triage, organize, and manage information from IQT offices to support knowledge sharing
- Lead or assist with strategic initiatives (see anticipated projects below)
Anticipated Projects:
- Analyze global trends in venture capital, emerging technology, venture capital, and national security
- Review existing IQT research to identify key analytic judgements, uncover critical gaps, and highlight areas for additional analysis
- Support the integration of AI tools into research and writing workflows by surveying the landscape of relevant capabilities and identifying solutions aligned with team needs
- Provide ad hoc support as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is requireddue to contractual obligations
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate-level degree with prior experience, strong coursework, or demonstrated interest in any of these areas: investing, venture capital, and entrepreneurship; technology and innovation; and national security, geopolitics, and international relations
- Excellent research and analytical abilities
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with the Intelligence Community and/or Department of War a plus
