Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. Status : Full Time Regular Shift: DAY SHIFT Department: Internal Med-Grand Ave Position Summary Summary: Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. Qualifications Responsibilities: Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience And Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • At least 6 months in a private physician or ambulatory care practice setting preferred. • Excellent communication skills. • Bilingual English/Spanish - translation duties may be required. • Computer experience and other related office machinery. • Knowledge of EMR preferred. License/Certifications • Medical Assistant Certificate or Venipuncture and EKG Certifications. • BLS certification preferred Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn • Frequent, prolonged standing, walking, lifting, positions, pushes and/or transfer patients. • Ability to lift 25lbs. • Ability to bend, reach, and retrieve files. • Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time. • Lifts, positions and/or transfers patients/equipment. • Ability to work in confined areas. • Frequent telephone usage.
