*Employment Type:* Full time *Shift:* Day Shift *Description:* *Position Purpose:* The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) works closely under the direction of a licensed provider to deliver high-quality patient care. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment, providing basic patient assessment and support, and assisting in administrative duties. The CMA also participates in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness.
*What You Will Do:*
* Perform basic patient assessment procedures, including vital signs and infection control.
* Assist with patient care for adults, geriatric patients, and occasionally infants and adolescents.
* Conduct phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures.
* Interpret for clients and staff as applicable.
* Monitor and order medical supplies under the guidance of the Nurse Practitioner or Clinic Manager.
* Assist with EKG procedures and other clinical tasks as directed by the medical provider.
* Participate in health fairs or community events on weekends (3-4 times a year).
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* High School diploma required; graduate of a medical technical school preferred.
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and CPR certification required.
* Six months to one-year experience in a health-related field.
* Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic lab procedures.
* Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA guidelines.
* Foreign language skills may be required.
* Valid GA driver's license and safe driving record.
