American Family Care is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to support our urgent care team in a fast-paced clinical setting. In this role, you will room patients, obtain vitals and histories, perform point-of-care testing, injections, EKGs, and assist providers with exams and procedures. You’ll also help with front-desk duties, documentation in the EMR, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms. Room patients, obtain vitals, histories, and document in EMR
Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
Administer medications per provider orders and clinic protocols
Support front-desk workflow including check-in, scheduling, and insurance verification as needed
Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure infection control standards
Handle patient phone calls, messages, and follow-up instructions
Collaborate with nurses, providers, and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Vital signs measurement
Phlebotomy and specimen collection
Injections and immunizations

Medical terminology
